¶ The Projection Window (Student View)
The Projection Window is a second, clean screen for your class. You open it from a Teaching Table, and it shows the deal from the students’ point of view. You decide which of the four hands they can see, revealing them one at a time, exactly when you want.

¶ Overview
The projection opens in its own browser window, so you can put it on a projector, a second monitor, or a Zoom screen share, while your full teacher view stays private on your own screen. You choose what the class sees, so nothing is revealed before you are ready.
¶ Why teachers use it
- Reveal hands one at a time to build a lesson, for example show declarer first, then add dummy.
- Keep the analysis, all four hands, and the already-played cards on your own screen, hidden from the class.
- Use the built-in replay, double-dummy and suit-break tools to explain the play in depth.
¶ How to use it
¶ Step 1 — Find the Projection panel
Inside a Teaching Table, look at the top right for the Projection panel. It has an Open button, a row of Show buttons (N, E, S, W), replay controls, and a line that reads “Students see: …” so you always know what is on the class screen.
¶ Step 2 — Choose which hands the class sees
Click the N, E, S or W buttons under Show to turn each hand on or off for your students. The Students see line updates as you click. A hidden hand shows a crossed-out eye in the student view instead of its cards.
¶ Step 3 — Open the projection window
Click Open. A new window appears with the student view; move it to your projector or share it in your video call. Below, North is hidden while the other three hands and the auction are shown to the class.
💡 If no window appears, your browser has blocked the pop-up. Allow pop-ups for Bridge Champ, then click Open again. Keep the teaching-table tab open the whole time, as the projection follows it.
¶ Step 4 — Use the teaching tools
The panel also gives you tools to explain the play, shown inside the projection so the class can follow along:
- Replay controls to step backward and forward through the play.
- DDS (double dummy) to show how many tricks each side can make.
- Suit break to show how the defenders’ cards are likely divided.
- Show played cards and Final Result to review the finished board.
📝 Note: The suit break shows the odds of how the defenders’ missing cards are divided. It is most useful when you show the play from declarer’s side. Always open it with the Suit break button in the projection panel (not the icon on the main table), so it appears cleanly on the class screen.
