¶ Highlights
- Teaching tables — a brand new table type built for lessons: the host sees and plays every hand,
can sit in one or more seats, and hands seats over to students or bots at any moment. - Teaching projection window — project a student view of your teaching table to a second screen or
a Zoom share, choosing exactly which hands the class sees. No second account needed. - Bidding practice tables — improve your bidding without playing a single card: bots take East/West,
the board ends when the auction does, and your contract is scored against the double dummy result and
par. - Friends Desk — see which of the players you follow are online and what they are playing, right on
your dashboard, and join them as a kibitzer with one click. - A faster site — route-level code splitting, self-hosted fonts and several query optimizations make
the site noticeably quicker to load.
¶ New features
¶ Teaching, clubs and lessons
- Introduced teaching tables: a host can see and play every hand at once, whether kibitzing or seated
at one or more seats, and hand seats off to students or bots at any time. [3347] - Teachers can project a student view of the teaching table to a second window or a Zoom share,
choosing which hands the students see, with replay, double-dummy and suit-break tools — no second
account needed. [3398] - The projection window now also shows the end-of-game result dialog when a board ends, and kibitzers
get a new button to display every hand as originally dealt with the already-played cards grayed out. [3441] - Club classes: club admins can organize members into classes and open teaching tables or tournaments
reserved for a specific class. [3406]
¶ Playing and practicing
- Bidding practice casual tables: bots sit East and West (optionally forced to pass), each board ends
as soon as the auction is over, and your contract is scored against the double dummy result and par. [3408] - Any played board can be reopened from the results page as a full-screen table replay and stepped
through trick by trick. [3329] - The new-casual-table dialog was redesigned around a table-mode selector (Bridge / Minibridge /
Teaching / Bidding practice), with the rarely used settings moved into a "More options" section. [3431]
¶ Deals and the Deal Source
- Deals can be exported as PBN or LIN files in addition to the Bridge Champ format, with a choice of
whether to include saved positions. [3375] - Printing a saved position now includes the board's comment on the printed page. [3371]
- New boards sets appear right below your Favorites instead of at the bottom of the list. [3396]
¶ Tournaments
- Tournament directors can assign hand-generation templates per dealer direction, so boards are
created automatically to match each direction's chosen style. [3317]
¶ Dashboard and social
- Friends Desk: see which of the players you follow are online and what they are playing, right from
your dashboard, and join them as a kibitzer with one click. [3409]
¶ Notifications, sharing and email
- Mobile push notifications for invitations, challenges, direct messages, new followers, results and
vuegraph live broadcasts, each toggleable in your notification settings. [3294] - Shared links to tournaments, game results and challenges now use clean web addresses that open
directly to the right page. [3412] - Invitation and challenge emails now link straight to the relevant page instead of the login screen. [3411]
¶ Localization
- Deals you import or generate are now named
#1,#2, … regardless of language, you can set your own
name prefix when creating deals, and more error messages appear in your selected language. [3404]
¶ Performance and improvements
- Route-level code splitting and immutable asset caching: shared result pages and the site itself
load significantly faster. [3413] - Fonts are now served by Bridge Champ instead of Google, making pages load faster and more reliably
everywhere — including regions where Google services are blocked. [3392] - Faster loading of the casual games history. [3359]
- Improved loading times of the tournament list and the player tournament history. [3435]
- Improved login speed for players with a long game history. [3434]
- Abandoned replays are now closed automatically, so the replay list shows recent activity instead of
thousands of stale entries. [3369] - Simplified the sign-up form: the updates-and-promotions checkbox is gone; you can decide about the
newsletter later from the popup or your profile settings. [3429] - The email confirmation reminder no longer interrupts you at the table; it waits until you are back
on the dashboard. [3415]
¶ Security and privacy
- Account recovery and registration no longer reveal whether an email address belongs to an existing
account. [3402] - Bridge screens no longer reveal the camera or microphone status of the players on the other side of
the screen. [3387]
¶ Fixes
¶ Game table and play
- Fixed a rare issue where opening or watching a table while other players were acting could show an
outdated game position until leaving and re-entering the table. [3336] - Fixed a rare error when a card was played at the exact moment the next board was being dealt. [3357]
- Fixed a rare issue where analyzing a finished board could temporarily degrade play analysis quality
for all users. [3356] - The online/offline indicator of an invited player now updates live while the invitation is pending. [3379]
- Fixed profile photos sometimes appearing stale, missing, or on the wrong seat in the casual tables
list. [3382] - In teaching tables, cards are no longer auto-played for a player left with a single card, and the
suit-break panel on the teacher's control panel can be closed with its X button. [3422] - At teaching tables, the teacher's claim is now always applied immediately, without requiring the
players' approval. [3442] - Fixed the teaching table projection window layout and the appearance of publicly shared team
tournament result pages, and made the initial page load lighter. [3438] - Fixed nine issues found while reviewing the previous release: clearing the club on the mobile profile
form, stale online indicators for invited players, false inactivity warnings on mobile, and several
table replay display glitches. [3407]
¶ Tournaments
- Fixed an issue where a tournament table could remain stuck as paused after its round ended. [3368]
- Table seats reserved for an invited player are now freed automatically when the invitation expires,
and a pair tournament registration whose partner invitation expires is canceled automatically with the
registration fee refunded. [3380] - Tournaments with rewards can be edited again while the rewards feature is temporarily disabled, and
duplicating your own password-protected tournament now keeps its password. [3428] - Players who stay inactive in the tournament lobby, the dashboard, or the tournament and team screens now
correctly receive the inactivity warning popup. [3383]
¶ Deals, hand editor and printing
- Rotating the hands in the hand editor now rotates the applied deal constraints along with the cards
instead of deleting them. [3363] - Fixed the hand editor's suit length and points selectors for West and East being hidden behind other
page elements. [3372] - Exporting a board or a board set from the Deal Source now includes all saved positions, not just the
first one. [3364] - Removed empty "Position" entries that could appear in the Deal Source under boards imported from PBN
files. [3423]
¶ Shared result pages
- Shared result pages no longer show the replay, review and save-position actions, which require being
signed in. [3424] - Fixed the shared tournament results page showing content cut off on the right on wide screens. [3425]
¶ Profile and account
- Removing the club from your profile now saves correctly. [3374]
- Removing the gender from your profile now saves correctly. [3384]
- Fixed the profile form pretending to save when the skill level was left empty: it now tells you a
skill level is required. [3381] - Fixed the player rank shown in the profile window sometimes not matching the player's position in
the rankings list. [3376] - Fixed the "resend code" link disappearing permanently after its first use during sign-in email
verification; the email-confirmation popup now also offers resending when the entered code has expired. [3353]
¶ Audio and video
- Fixed audio and video not working after moving to the next round of a tournament. [3346]
- Fixed the player's own video box appearing black instead of the avatar when playing with bots. [3393]
- Fixed a rare crash in the video integration code. [3365]
¶ Bots
- Fixed several bot bidding errors reported by players: passing with a fit and opening values after an
opponent's preempt, passing out interference over Stayman, and a third-seat opener's club rebid not
limiting its hand. [3390] - Improved bot opening leads against slams: lead a trump against a suit grand slam unless there is an
obvious lead, do not underlead an honor unless the suit is controlled in dummy, and lead the ace from
A-K against a notrump slam. [3397]
