¶ Introduction
In this update, we've addressed various bugs and improved several features across the platform.
¶ Bug Fixes and Improvements
¶ General
- Default board theme now defaults to traditional green [3123]
- Default video resolution was updated from 360p to 720p [3123]
- A clear error message with a retry option is displayed in case of communication problem with the server [3117]
- Submitting a long claim explanation will no longer prevent loading the game results [3130]
- Some fixes related to loading tournaments, challenges, and game results using an external link [3129]
- Fixed overlapping text problem on the results page when translated to foreign languages [3126]
- The bid selection box in minibridge no longer appears on top of the results page [3133]
- The bidding history box is no longer displayed during a minibridge game [3133]
- Clicking the mini-board at the bottom left of the results panel will redirect the user back to the active game board [3127]
- The language selector in account settings is displayed as a dropdown menu for easier selection [3125]
- Streaming a game directly from the table is no longer supported [3123]
¶ Tournaments/Challenges
- We introduced a new "Beat the Champ" challenge type. First, a player is marked as an expert; then the expert player creates a challenge and invites all players to compete. Any player can play the “Beat the Champ” challenge and compare its results with the expert [3046]
- Some formatting and layout improvements for the challenges dialogs [3119]
- Challenges’ history now displays only the challenges played -against the specific opponent [3119]
- Players can now register to a pair's tournament with a bot partner [3104]
- For an ongoing tournament, players who finished playing all boards and are now viewing the results, are ranked above players who have not completed all the boards yet. A separator row is added between full and partial tournament results [3131]
- For a limited time, users can create tournaments, challenges, and team matches without paying creation fee [3135]
- Challenge registration fees, challenge rewards and tournament rewards are now disabled [3068]
¶ Bots
- Small fixes for existing conventions [3111]
- New conventions implemented [3111]:
- 2 over 1 bids are now game forcing
- Inverted minors: 1C-2C and 1D-2D are one-round forcing with support in partner's suit
- 1NT response to partner’s opening of 1 major is semi-forcing: opener can pass only with 5332 shape and 12 HCP (This is because the 1NT response can hide the invitational support with 3 cards in partner's major)
- Improve the classification of penalty double bids vs. reopening double bids, in particular after our overcalls [3134]
