¶ How to Manage Friends on Bridge Champ
¶ 👥 Introduction
Bridge Champ lets you connect with other players using a simple Friends system. You can follow players, accept followers, and manage your friend list, all from your profile.
This guide shows you how to:
- Follow other players
- See who follows you
- Accept or reject friend requests
- Manage and remove friends
¶ 📂 Accessing the Friends Page
To open your Friends page:
- Click your profile picture in the top-left corner
- Select Friends from the dropdown menu
This takes you to the main Friends screen, where you’ll see three tabs at the top: Following, Followers, and Friends.
¶ 🏠 The Friends and Chat panels on the Home page
On the right of the Home page, the Friends panel shows which of your friends are online and what they are doing. Next to a friend who is playing you can click Kibitz to watch their table, Open to open the tournament they are in, or Chat to send them a message. The magnifier at the top searches for players to follow, and My Friends at the bottom opens your Friends page.
Below it, the Chat panel lists your Private and Club chats. Click a chat to open it, or the pencil to start a new one.
¶ Mute, block and delete
In an open private chat, two icons sit next to the player's name:
- The speaker mutes the chat. It is marked Muted in your chat list.
- The ⊘ sign blocks the player. Bridge Champ asks you to confirm: once blocked, they can no longer send you private messages. Click Unblock to undo it.
To delete a message you sent, click the bin next to it. Bridge Champ asks Delete this message for everyone? and the message is replaced by Message deleted.
If you or the other player is at a table, your messages wait until the game ends. They are marked Held meanwhile, and Cancel takes one back before it is sent.
To sit at a friend's casual table, open Casual and use the Friends tab. See Casual Tables.
¶ ➕ Following Players
To follow someone on Bridge Champ:
- Click Search Players at the top right of the Friends page (or the magnifier of the Friends panel on the Home page)
- Type the username of the player you want to follow
- Click the purple Follow button next to their name
Once you follow a player, they’ll see your name in their Followers list.
¶ 🔔 Accepting and Managing Friends
When someone follows you, you can accept their request to become Friends:
- Go to the Followers tab
- Click Accept to add them to your Friends list
- Click Reject if you don’t want to connect
Once accepted, that player will appear in your Friends tab.
¶ ⚙️ Managing and Removing Friends
From the Friends tab, you can remove anyone from your list at any time:
- Find the player you want to remove
- Click the red Unfollow button
This removes the friend connection but does not block the other player. You can always follow or refriend them later.
¶ Profiles and chats
- Profiles and friends lists opened from the Friends page have a Back link at the top, so you return to where you were.
- In a private chat, click the other player's name or picture to open their profile. From there you can follow them or keep chatting.
